How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Replacing a cartridge for the Brother DCP-9055CDN is simple. Just follow these steps:
- Make sure the machine is turned on.
- Press the front cover release button and then open the front cover.
- Hold the handle of the drum unit. Pull the drum unit out until it stops.
- Hold the handle of the old toner cartridge to be replaced. Slightly push it toward the machine to unlock it and then pull it out of the drum unit.
- Push the release latches of the corona wire cover and open the cover.
- Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab left to right and right to left several times. Return the tab to the home position.
- Close the corona wire cover.
- Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging.
- Gently shake the new toner cartridge side to side several times to evenly distribute toner inside.
- Remove protective covering on the new toner cartridge.
- Make sure the cartridge matches the color on the drum unit label. Hold the handle of the new toner cartridge and slide it into its corresponding slot in the drum unit. Slightly pull the new toner cartridge toward you until it clicks into place.
- Push the drum unit back until it stops.
- Close the front cover of the machine.
