How to Replace Cartridge(s)
To replace a cartridge for the Brother HL-L8250CDN, just follow these easy steps:
- Make sure the machine is turned on.
- Press the front cover release button and pull open the front cover.
- Hold the blue handle of the drum unit. Pull out the drum unit until it stops.
- Hold the handle of the old toner cartridge to be replaced and gently push it toward the machine to unlock it. Pull out the old toner cartridge from the drum unit.
- Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab left to right and right left several times. Return tab to home position.
- Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging. Remove protective covering on the new toner cartridge.
- Hold the handle of the new toner cartridge. Slide the new toner cartridge into the drum unit and gently pull it toward you until you hear it lock into place.
- Push the drum unit back into the machine until it stops.
- Close the front cover of the machine.
