How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Open the front cover and pull out the drum unit.
  2. Hold down the lock lever on the right as you pull the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
  3. Unpack the new toner cartridge. Place the used toner cartridge into the aluminum bag and recycle appropriately.
  4. Gently rock the new toner cartridge from side to side five or six times to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge.
  5. Remove the protective cover.
  6. Install the new toner cartridge into the drum unit until it clicks into place.
  7. Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab from left to right several times. Return the blue tab to the Home position before reinstalling the drum unit assembly.
  8. Reinstall the drum unit and close the front cover.
