How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here's how to replace the toner cartridge on the Brother MFC-8300:

 

  1. Open the front cover and pull the drum unit assembly out of the printer.
  2. Remove the used toner cartridge from the drum unit while holding down the lock lever on the left.
  3. Unpack the new toner cartridge and gently rock it several times to distribute the toner inside evenly.
  4. Remove the protective cover.
  5. Put the new toner cartridge in the drum unit until it clicks into place.
  6. Clean the primary corona wire.
  7. Insert the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the printer.
  8. Close the front cover.
