How to Replace Cartridge(s)
To install a a new compatible on your Brother MFC-J835DW ink cartridge, follow the 6 steps below:
- Open the ink cartridge cover of your Brother MFC-J835DW.
- Before you can pull the cartridge out of the printer, you must first press down to unlock the release lever.
- Once the old cartridge is out, prepare the new cartridge. Remove the new cartridge from the bag and slide the old cartridge in for proper disposal later.
- The vacuum seal in the new cartridge must be released. To do this, just turn the green release lever on the orange protective packing clockwise until it clicks, and then remove it.
- Put the new cartridge in the correct slot. Push the cartridge in until it locks into place.
- Close the ink cartridge cover.
