Replacing toner cartridges for the Canon I-SENSYS LBP-5050 is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the front cover.
  2. Pull out the toner cartridge tray.
  3. Hold the old toner cartridge by its handle and pull it straight up and out of the cartridge tray.
  4. Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging.
  5. Gently shake the new toner cartridge five or six times to evenly distribute toner inside.
  6. Place the new toner cartridge on a flat surface.
  7. Hold the new toner cartridge steady with one hand and pull out its sealing tape with the other.
  8. Remove protective covering on new toner cartridge.
  9. Insert the new toner cartridge into its corresponding slot in the toner cartridge tray.
  10. Push the toner cartridge tray back into the machine.
  11. Gently close the front cover.
