How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Almost out of toner? Here's how to replace the used toner cartridge in your Canon ImageCLASS MF731Cdw printer:

  1. Press the release button then open the front cover.
  2. Grab the handle of the cartridge tray then pull it out of the device toward you.
  3. Pull the used toner cartridge straight up and out of the tray to remove it.
  4. Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging material.
  5. Rock the new toner cartridge gently from side to side several times. This evenly distributes the toner inside.
  6. Install the new toner cartridge inside the tray, making sure it's securely in place.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 if replacing multiple toner cartridges.

  9. Close the front cover.
