How To Replace Cartridge

  1. Before replacing the empty cartridge in your HP ENVY 4508, it’s important to load paper. Doing so will lead to a cartridge alignment.
  2. Boot-up your device. Plug its power cord to an electrical socket, and then press its power button.
  3. To access the cartridges, you should open the scanner lid, as well as the carriage access door. Wait the cartridge carriage to stop.
  4. Once the carriage is idle, proceed to removing the ink cartridge. To do this, simply open the lid of the cartridge. You can now take out the empty cartridge.
  5. Grab your new ink cartridge from Inkjets. Remove it from its box. You should also remove its protective tape underneath.
  6. Put the new cartridge into the slot, and then close the lid. Return the carriage cover and scanner lid back to their original positions.
