By following these steps, you can easily replace the old ink cartridge of your Brother DCP-J525W printer with a new one:

Open the ink cartridge cover.
To remove the empty ink cartridge from its slot, press the lock release lever and pull out the cartridge.
Take out the new ink cartridge from its package, hold it and then turn the release lever on the protective pack. Do this until it clicks to release the vacuum seal. Remove the protective packing.
Insert the new ink cartridge into the empty slot then gently push on it until it clicks.
Close the ink cartridge cover and the printer will automatically reset the ink dot counter.
