Here's how to replace the ink cartridge on the Brother DCP-J725DW:

Open the ink cartridge cover and remove the empty cartridge by pressing the lock release lever.
Get the new ink cartridge package and take the cartridge out.
Remove the orange protective packing from the new cartridge prior to installation.
Insert the new cartridge into the correct cartridge slot.
Make sure that the cartridge is properly installed by pushing the back of the cartridge until you hear it click.
Close the ink cartridge cover. Wait until the Brother DCP-J725DW automatically resets the ink dot counter before you resume printing.
