How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Make toner cartridge replacement for your Brother HL-2220 printer easier by following this handy guide:
- Make sure your printer is on. Open the front cover, then leave the device turned on for up to 10 minutes until it cools down.
- Take the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly out of the printer. Push down the green lock lever and remove the used cartridge from the drum unit.
- Unpack the new toner cartridge. Holding it flat with both hands, shake the cartridge gently from side to side. This distributes the toner inside more evenly. Pull off the protective cover from the toner cartridge.
- Insert the new cartridge firmly into the drum unit until it locks securely in place. Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit after.
- Place the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the printer.
- Close the front cover.
