How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Power the machine on. Then, press the front cover release button to open the front cover.
- Take the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly out of the printer.
- Push down the green lock lever and remove the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
- Unpack the new toner cartridge. Then, grab it on both ends and gently rock it left to right several times to distribute the ink inside evenly.
- Remove the protective cover from the new toner cartridge.
- Install the new toner cartridge into the drum unit back into the printer.
- Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by carefully sliding the green tab side to side a few times. Put the tab back to its original position when you’re done.
- Place the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the printer.
- Close the front cover of the machine.
