How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Power off the printer. Then, open the printer by lifting up the handle.
- Take the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly out of the printer.
- Press down on the green-labeled lock level and take the used toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
- Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by sliding the green tab side to side several times. Put this tab back to its original position when you’re done.
- Take the new toner cartridge out of its packaging. Hold the toner on both sides and then shake it left and right five to six times to help spread the ink inside evenly.
- Remove the protective cover from the new toner cartridge.
- Install the new toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit and push until it clicks into place.
- Place the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the printer.
- Close the top cover of the printer.
