How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Replace the ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-J220 by following these steps:

  1. Open the ink cartridge cover of you Brother MFC-J220.
  2. Push down on the release lever to remove the old ink cartridge from its slot.
  3. Open the bag of the new ink cartridge and remove the cartridge.
  4. Rotate the green knob on the yellow protective cap to remove it from the cartridge.
  5. Slide the ink cartridge into its corresponding slot.
  6. Press the cartridge inside firmly until you hear it click into position.
  7. Close the ink cartridge cover.
