How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Follow this step-by-step guide to installing the Brother MFC-J280W ink cartridge:
- Open the ink cartridge cover.
- Release the old cartridge by pushing the lock release lever, and then slide it out of the printer.
- Get the new ink cartridge and remove it from its protective bag.
- Rotate the green release lever on the orange protective packing clockwise. And then, pull the orange protective packing off.
- Slide the new ink cartridge into the printer.
- Push the mark "PUSH" at the back of the cartridge until you hear it click into place.
- Close the ink cartridge cover. The printer will reset the ink dot counter automatically.
