How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Here's how to replace the ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-J4420DW:
- Open the ink cartridge cover of your MFC-J4420DW.
- Each cartridge has a release lever. In order to release the cartridge from the ink cartridge holder, press it down. Then, pull the cartridge out of the printer.
- Unpack the new ink cartridge. Make sure the color on the cartridge label matches the color on the empty slot.
- Remove the orange protective packing from the new cartridge prior to installation.
- Insert the cartridge in the correct slot. To secure it properly, push it in until it clicks into place.
- Close the ink cartridge cover.
