How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Replace the ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-J6520DW with these 6 steps:
- Open the ink cartridge. The printer's display will show B&W Print Only or B&W 1-sided Print Only or Cannot Print if the cartridge is already empty.
- Click the lock release lever to release the cartridge. Then, pull the old ink cartridge out of the printer.
- Remove any packaging material that is used to protect the new ink cartridge.
- Rotate the green release lever on the orange protective packing counterclockwise to release the vacuum seal. Then, pull the orange protective packing out of the new ink cartridge.
- Slide the new cartridge into the printer. Press the back of the ink cartridge marked with "PUSH" until you hear a click.
- Close the cover of the ink cartridge.
