How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Replace the ink cartridges on the Brother MFC-J995DW XL by following the step-by-step guide below:
- If your printer is not yet turned on, then press the Power button.
- Open the ink cartridge cover. Press the tab on the empty ink cartridge to release it from the slot, and then pull the cartridge out of the MFC-J995DW XL.
- Unwrap the replacement ink cartridge. Then, insert the cartridge into the printer. Make sure that the color of the ink cartridge matches the color on the slot.
- Press the “PUSH" mark on the ink cartridge to secure it in place.
- Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the 3 remaining cartridges.
- Check again if all the cartridges are completely secured in each slot.
- Close the ink cartridge cover. The printer will automatically begin its cleaning process, which lasts for about 7 minutes.
