How to Replace Cartridge(s)
By following these steps, you will be able to replace the toner cartridge on the Canon ImageClass MF217W:
- Lift the operation panel to gain access to the old toner cartridge.
- Open the toner cover. To do this, hold the grip at the front right of the toner cover, and then lift the cover up.
- Pull the toner cartridge out of the machine.
- Remove the replacement toner cartridge from the protective bag.
- Shake the toner cartridge 5 or 6 times as shown below to evenly distribute the toner inside the cartridge, and then place it on a flat surface.
- Pull the sealing tape straight out.
- Install the toner cartridge.
