Frequently Asked Questions

How would I know if it's time to order a replacement toner cartridge for my Canon ImageClass MF217W?

When the toner cartridge needs a replacement soon, the <Prepare a cartridge.> appears on the display of your ImageClass MF217W.

Can I still print a few more pages when the <The amount remaining in the cartridge is very low.> appears on the display?

It depends on the amount of toner remaining inside the cartridge. If the print quality improves after shaking the cartridge to redistribute the toner, then you can still resume printing. But if not, then you must replace the old cartridge first.

When the printed output is partially faded, does it mean I have to replace the toner cartridge soon?

Yes. Faded output means the toner cartridge has almost reached the end of its life. Prepare a new cartridge and have it ready for use when the print quality becomes unacceptable.
