How to Replace Cartridge(s)
These steps will help you in replacing the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA IP4600:
- Check if the power of your Canon PIXMA IP4600 is on.
- Open the paper output tray. Then, open the top cover.
- The printhead holder will move to the center. Once it stops, you may pull the used ink cartridge out of its slot.
- Prepare the new ink cartridge.
- It's highly important that you pull out the orange protective tape and protective film from the cartridge. If not, it will not be recognized by your printer. The same is true if the orange protective cap is not removed.
- Install the ink cartridge into its corresponding slot.
- Close the top cover.
