How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Follow the steps below if you need to replace the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA IX6520:
- Make sure that the PIXMA IX6520 is on, and then open the front cover gently.
- Open the top cover and wait until the printhead holder moves to the replacement position.
- Push the tab of the empty ink cartridge, and then remove it from the printer.
- Take the new ink cartridge out of the package and pull the orange tape. Then, remove the orange protective cap.
- Insert the new ink cartridge into its corresponding slot, and push down on it until it clicks into place.
- Close the top cover.
