Here is a step-by-step guide to replacing the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA MG5120:

Open the paper output tray and lift the scanning unit to open. The printhead holder will then move to the replacement position.
Press down on the empty ink cartridge and lift it out of the printer.
Remove the new ink cartridge from the packaging and remove its orange tape, protective film, and orange protective cap completely before installing.
