Here are the steps to replacing the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA MG8120B:

  2. Lightly open the paper output tray, and then lift the scanning unit cover until it is fully open.
  3. Take the used ink cartridge out of its slot.
  4. Unpack the new ink cartridge and remove its orange protective tape, protective film, and protective cap.
  5. Slide the ink cartridge into its slot and gently push it in until it clicks into position.
  6. Close the scanning unit cover.
