How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Follow the steps below to replacing the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA MG8220:
- Turn the PIXMA MG8220 is on, and then slowly open the paper output tray.
- Lift the scanning unit/cover. Then, wait for the printhead holder to move to the replacement position.
- Push the tab to remove the empty ink cartridge from the printer.
- Get the new ink cartridge and take it out of the package.
- Remove the orange tape and the orange protective cap from the new cartridge.
- Insert the new cartridge into the empty slot.
- Close the scanning unit cover.
