How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Running out of ink? Fortunately, installing a new ink cartridge in your Canon Pixma MP960 printer is worry-free. Just follow these steps:
- Make sure the printer is turned on, then raise the scanning unit until it stops. The print cartridge holder should move to the center of the printer.
- Open the inner cover, check the ink cartridge you want to replace, then remove it by pushing its tab. Lift the empty ink cartridge out of the holder.
- Prepare the new ink cartridge. Unwrap it from its package and then, using the pull tab, remove the sealing tape completely.
- Remove the protective cap from the new ink cartridge. When you're holding the ink cartridge, make sure you don't touch the ink nozzles and metallic contacts.
- Insert the new ink cartridge into the holder, then push it down until it snaps firmly into place.
- Close the inner cover, then gently lower the scanning unit.
