How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Follow these easy steps to replace the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA MP980:
- Make sure that the Canon PIXMA MP980 is on. Then, gently open the paper output tray.
- Lift the scanning unit cover. Push the release tab, and then lift the used ink cartridge out of the printer.
- Take the new ink cartridge out of the package.
- Pull the orange protective tape to peel it off. Then, remove the film completely.
- Twist the orange protective cap and remove it from the cartridge.
- Install the new ink cartridge into the printhead.
- Lightly close the scanning unit cover.
