How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Replace the ink cartridge on the Canon PIXMA TR8520 with these 8 basic steps:

1. Lift up the scanner unit to gain access to the cartridges. Then, wait until the carriage moves to the center of the printer.
2. Gently press the tab to release the old cartridge, and then slide it and lift it out of the printer completely.
3. Remove the replacement ink cartridge from the package. Then, pull the orange protective tape and twist the orange clip before installing the cartridge.
4. Push the cartridge firmly into its slot until it is fully secured.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 5 if you need to replace other ink cartridges.
6. Close the front cover.

Do I have to replace the ink cartridges on my Canon PIXMA TR8450 when the print results are blurred or when colors are not printed correctly?

Not necessarily. Blurred prints and incorrect colors on prints may just be due to clogged nozzles. Why don't you try cleaning the printhead first? If this does not work after several tries, then go ahead and replace the ink cartridges.
