Frequently Asked Questions

Can I continue printing with my Epson Stylus CX4600 if one of the ink cartridges is empty or not installed?

No, because the CX4600 is designed not to operate if one of the ink cartridges is empty or not installed.

Why is my printer running low on color ink even if I print mostly black and white documents?

Even if you print mostly black and white documents, your printer still uses a small amount of ink from the color cartridges during printing to keep the printhead clear.

How long should the ink cartridges remain in the printer if I rarely use it?

Installed ink cartridges should not be more than six months old inside the printer. Make sure to replace them during this period to avoid poor print quality.
