How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Turn on the printer by pressing the power button, and then lower the output tray.
- Reach inside the machine, grasp the handle, and then lower the ink cartridge access door. Wait until the carriage goes idle and silent before you proceed.
- Gently press down on the used ink cartridge to release it from its slot and then remove it from the printer.
- Unpack the new ink cartridge and remove its plastic tape. Remember not to touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles to avoid ink failure and faulty electrical connections after you install them.
- Insert the new ink cartridge into its slot in the printer and push until it clicks into place. Repeat this process if you are replacing more than one cartridge.
- Close the ink cartridge access door when you're finished.
