How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Here's how to replace the ink cartridge on the HP Deskjet 3526:
- Make sure that the printer is turned on.
- Grasp the handles on either side of the cartridge access door, and then raise the door until it locks into place. Wait until the carriage moves to the access area before you proceed.
- Press the tab on the front of the empty cartridge inward to release it, and then pull it up to remove it from the slot.
- Get the new ink cartridge and remove it from the package. Then, pull the orange tab to remove the plastic wrap from the new cartridge.
- Remove the orange cap from the cartridge.
- Insert the new cartridge into its slot. Press down on it until it is firmly seated.
- Close the cartridge access door.
