How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Here's the fast and easy way to replace the ink cartridge in your HP Deskjet 3740 personal printer:
- Press the power button on your printer, then open its top cover. The print cartridge holder will automatically slide to the center of the printer.
- Wait until it stops, then remove the ink cartridge you want to replace by pushing down on it and sliding it out of the holder.
- Take out the new ink cartridge from its bag, then remove the plastic sealing tape. Do so without touching any of the ink nozzles or metallic contacts.
- Slide the new ink cartridge into the holder. Push it down firmly until you hear it clicking into place.
