How To Replace Cartridge(s)

Replacing the ink cartridge in your HP DeskJet 450ci printer is simple. All you need to do is follow these steps:

Make sure the printer is switched on, then open the front access cover. Wait for a few seconds until the carriage with the ink cartridges changes position.
Lift up the latch on the ink cartridge and gently take out the cartridge from the slot at a slight angle.
Open the package containing your new ink cartridge. Holding only the plastic body, remove the protective film from the new ink cartridge by pulling out the tab.
Insert the new ink cartridge into the slot at the same angle at which you took out the old one.
Close the latch on the print cartridge. When done correctly, closing the latch gently will push the cartridge into the slot.
Replace the front access cover.
