How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Before you replace an ink cartridge, make sure that the printer is powered on.
  2. Open the printer's top cover and wait for the cradle to finish moving to the center of the printer.
  3. Raise the cradle latch.
  4. Remove the used ink cartridge from the cradle.
  5. Take the new ink cartridge out of its packaging and gently remove the plastic tape. Do not touch the copper-colored contacts and ink nozzles to avoid bad electrical connections after installation.
  6. Install the new ink cartridge into its slot in the cradle. Then, secure the cradle latch.
  7. Close the top cover.
