How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here’s how to replace the ink cartridge on the HP Deskjet 6520:

 

  1. Make sure that the Deskjet 6520 is on.
  2. Open the cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move to the ink label part of the printer.
  3. Press the tab on the cartridge that needs replacement and pull it out of the printer.
  4. Remove the cartridge from the packaging. Then, twist the orange cap to snap it off.
  5. Slide the new cartridge into its corresponding slot until it locks into place.
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 if you need to replace other ink cartridges.
  7. Close the cartridge access door.
