How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here is a step-by-step guide to replacing the ink cartridge on the HP Deskjet D2530:

 

  1. Press the Power button to turn the Deskjet D2530 on.
  2. Open the printer cover and wait until the carriage moves to the right side of the printer.
  3. Press down on the empty ink cartridge to release it. Then, pull it out of the printer.
  4. Remove the new ink cartridge from the packaging and use the pink pull tab to remove its sealing tape.
  5. Hold the new cartridge and insert it into the correct slot. Push it firmly until it locks into place.
  6. Close the printer cover.
