How to Replace Cartridge(s)

To replace an ink cartridge for the HP DeskJet D2663, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
  2. Open the print cartridge door. Wait for the print cartridge carriage to move to the center of the machine.
  3. Wait until the print carriage is idle and silent before pressing the old ink cartridge down to release it. Pull the old ink cartridge out of its slot to remove it.
  4. Remove new ink cartridge from packaging. Remove protective covering on new ink cartridge.
  5. Insert new ink cartridge into its corresponding slot until it clicks into place.
  6. Close the print cartridge door.
