How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Installing a new ink cartridge in your HP Deskjet F4274 won't take long at all. Here's what to do:

  1. Make sure the printer is turned on, then open the print cartridge access door. The carriage holding the ink cartridges should move to the far right side of the printer.
  2. After it stops, release the used ink cartridge from its slot by pressing down on it lightly. Pull it out of the slot toward you.
  3. Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging, then carefully pull off the sealing tape without touching the ink nozzles and copper contacts.
  4. Slide the new ink cartridge into the empty slot and push forward on its upper part gently until it clicks into place.
  5. Close the print cartridge access door.
