How to Replace Cartridge(s)

To replace toner cartridges for your HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color M451, just follow these easy steps:

  1. Open the front door.
  2. Pull out print cartridge drawer.
  3. Grasp handle on toner cartridge to be replaced.
  4. Remove old toner cartridge by pulling it straight up out of the print cartridge drawer.
  5. Remove new toner cartridge from packaging.
  6. Gently rock new toner cartridge from front to back to distribute toner inside evenly.
  7. Remove protective covering on new toner cartridge.
  8. Insert new toner cartridge into print cartridge drawer.
  9. Remove sealing tape on new toner cartridge by pulling tab on the side.
  10. Close print cartridge drawer.
  11. Close front door.
