- Make sure that your HP Officejet Pro 7740 is on. Then, open the ink cartridge access door and wait until the ink cartridge carriage is idle and silent before you continue.
- Push the cartridge that needs replacement in to release it from the slot. Then, pull it out toward you to remove it from the machine.
- Remove the new ink cartridge from the package and peel off the protective tape from the cartridge prior to installation.
- Put the new cartridge in its designated slot and push it forward until it locks into place.
- If you need to replace another cartridge, repeat steps 2 to 4.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
