Here's how to replace the ink cartridge on the HP OfficeJet Pro X451DW:

 

  1. Open the ink cartridge door.
  2. Push the empty ink cartridge to release it, and then pull it straight out of the printer.
  3. Take the new ink cartridge out of the packaging. Make sure not to touch the metal connector of the new cartridge.
  4. Slide the new cartridge into its corresponding slot. Push it in until it clicks into place.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 if you need to replace other color ink cartridges.
