How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Follow the steps below if you need to replace the ink cartridge on the HP Officejet 4215V:


  1. Press the Power button to turn on the HP Officejet 4215V. Then, open the print-carriage access door.
  2. Wait until the print carriage moves into the loading position and stops.
  3. Push down on the top of the empty ink cartridge to release it, and then pull it toward you to remove it from the printer.
  4. Take the new ink cartridge from the package and gently remove the protective tape by pulling the pink pull tab.
  5. Slide the new cartridge into the correct slot in a slightly upward angle, and the press firmly until it clicks into place.
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 if you need to remove another empty ink cartridge.
  7. Close the print-carriage access door.
