How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here are the steps to replacing the ink cartridge on the HP Officejet 7000:

  1. Push down your HP Officejet 7000 printer's power button to turn on.
  2. Carefully open its top cover. The carriage will automatically move at the center.
  3. Wait for it to stop before proceeding to step 4.
  4. Push the empty cartridge's front tab, and then carefully pull it out of its slot.
  5. Properly dispose the empty cartridge.
  6. Remove your new cartridge's wrap and cap. Then, slide it into the slot. Push it down to lock. Your printer will not recognize the new tank if it's not properly installed.
  7. Repeat steps 3 and 4, if necessary.
  8. Lower your equipment's top cover.
