How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Installing a new ink cartridge in your HP Officejet 7210xi printer is simple. Just follow these steps:
- Turn on your printer, then open the print carriage access door by lifting from the front center of the machine until the door locks into place.
- You'll find the print carriage on the far right side of the printer. Press down the latch.
- Push down on the ink cartridge to release it, then pull it out of the slot toward you.
- Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging. Carefully remove the plastic sealing tape. Make sure not to touch the ink nozzles and copper contacts.
- Slide the new ink cartridge into the slot, then push it forward until it clicks into place. Press down on the latch—check that it catches below the bottom tabs.
- Close the print carriage access door.
