How to Replace Cartridge(s)

By following the basic guide below, you will be able to replace the ink cartridges on the HP OfficeJet 8715:

  1. See to it that your HP machine is powered on. Then, open the ink cartridge access door. The carriage will automatically move to the access area.
  2. Once the carriage is idle and quiet, lift the empty ink cartridge straight out of its slot. Set it aside for recycling.
  3. Unwrap the new ink cartridge. Keep the bag for future use.
  4. Place the cartridge into the slot that matches with its color. Press down firmly on it until it locks into position.
  5. Repeat the previous steps for the remaining ink cartridges that need replacement.
  6. Close the ink cartridge access door. Your HP OfficeJet 8715 is now ready for printing!
