How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Replacing the ink cartridge in your HP Officejet J5520 all-in-one printer only takes a few minutes. Here's what to do:
- Check your printer to make sure it's turned on. Open the print cartridge door--the carriage with the ink carts should move to the far right side of the machine.
- Once the carriage is idle and silent, release the ink cartridge you want to replace by pressing down on it lightly. Pull it toward you out of the slot.
- Take out the new ink cartridge from the packaging and gently remove the plastic sealing tape by pulling the tab. Make sure to touch only the plastic body.
- Slide the new ink cartridge forward into the empty slot. Gently push on the upper part of the cartridge until you hear a click.
- Close the print cartridge door.
