How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Installing a new ink cartridge into the HP Photosmart 2575V is quick and easy. Here's how to get started:

  1. Connect your HP PhotoSmart 2575 printer's power cord. Then, press down its power button. Gently raise the cartridge access cover.
  2. Once the cover is open, the carriage will move to the right. Wait for it to stop. Do not force the carriage to move.
  3. Press down the empty cartridge and slide it out of its holder. Then, get your new ink cartridge. Free it from its packaging and protective tape.
  4. Slide in the new cartridge to its correct slot. Remember the right slot is for black cartridges while the left slot is for the tricolor. Lower the cartridge cover.
