How to Replace Cartridge(s)
These are the easy steps to replace the ink cartridge in the HP PhotoSmart 5522 printer:
- Turn on the printer by pressing the power button.
- Open the cartridge access door and wait for the cartridge carrier to move into the access area.
- Select the cartridge that needs replacement and gently press the tab in an inward motion. Then lift the old cartridge from the slot.
- Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging. Just pull the tab to remove the plastic wrap and twist the cap to remove it from the nozzle.
- Make sure that the ink port is down then slide it into the empty slot. Push firmly until it is fixed in place.
- Secure the cartridge access door.
