How to Replace Cartridge(s)
Here's how to replace the HP Photosmart 5525 ink cartridge:
- Make sure that the HP Photosmart 5525 is on.
- Open the ink cartridge access door and wait until the carriage moves to the replacement position before you continue.
- Pull the empty ink cartridge out of its slot.
- Unpack the new ink cartridge and remove its plastic wrap prior to installation.
- Twist the orange cap counterclockwise to remove it from the new cartridge.
- Bend the tab on the new cartridge and slide it into the empty slot. Make sure to press down on it until it is securely seated.
- Repeat the steps 3 to 6 to replace other empty ink cartridges.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
