How to Replace Cartridge(s)
If the existing cartridge in your HP Photosmart C4383 is running out of ink, replace it with a new one by following these steps:
- Make sure the printer is on, then open the ink cartridge door. This will prompt the print carriage to move to the far right side of the device.
- Once the carriage stops, press down on the used ink cartridge lightly to release it.
- Pull the used ink cartridge out of its slot toward you.
- Unpack the new ink cartridge. Using the pull tab, carefully remove the plastic tape, while avoiding contact with the ink nozzles and copper strips.
- Insert the new ink cartridge into the empty slot. Push it firmly inside until it snaps into place.
- Close the ink cartridge door.
