Replace the ink cartridge on the HP Photosmart C5390 with these 7 easy steps:

Make sure that your HP Photosmart C5390 is on.
Open the ink cartridge access door, and then wait for the ink carriage to move to the center.
Press the release tab on the old ink cartridge. Then, remove it from its slot.
Use the orange pull tab to remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging.
Twist the orange protective cap to snap it off.
Install the ink cartridge firmly into the empty slot until you hear an audible click.
Close the ink cartridge door.
